Position: STEAAM Part-Time Program Assistant
Location: Hillcrest Heights Elementary School, 4305 22nd Pl, Hillcrest Heights, Maryland 20748
Dates: September 1 - Aug 2, 2025
Hours:  15-20 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM) 

Position Overview:
The Part-Time Program Assistant will work closely with the Program Coordinator to ensure the successful implementation of Mobile STEAAM Solutions’ after-school program. This individual will be responsible for supporting daily activities, engaging with students, and assisting with the administration and logistics of the program. The role is ideal for someone passionate about education, STEAM fields, and making a positive impact on young learners. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the daily setup, supervision, and breakdown of after-school program activities.
• Support and facilitate engaging STEAAM-related lessons and hands-on projects for      students in grades K-5.
• Help ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all students.
• Monitor student behavior and provide guidance, encouragement, and support as needed.
• Assist in tracking student attendance and participation.
• Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to ensure all materials and supplies are      prepared for each session.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders regarding student      progress and program updates.
• Help with the development and implementation of creative, innovative learning      experiences for students.
• Provide feedback on program effectiveness and suggest areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working with elementary school-aged children in an educational      or youth development setting.
• A passion for STEAAM education and a desire to inspire young learners.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Safety certification req
• A background check is required.
